Research

The research effort at our laboratory is aimed at developing and testing more sensitive and rapid molecular cytogenetic analyses for use in clinical cytogenetics.

Thus, we have developed:

• Automatic statistical analysis of the results of multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification (MLPA) products.
• High resolution metaphase comparative genomic hybridization (HR-CGH).
  HR-CGH is among other things used for diagnostic evaluation of mentally retarded/dysmorphic children where previous chromosome analyses have shown normal results.
